Consulting engineers discuss the Delta Truck Route Project with interested residents

February 2008 Public Meeting

The first public meeting to show final design progress for the Confluence Drive (Alternate Truck Route) was held Monday, February 25 at 7:00 p.m. A presentation was given by Project Manager Randal Lapsley from Stantec Inc., the engineering firm hired by The City to complete final design of Confluence Drive.

Delta citizens had the opportunity to interact with City staff and members of the consulting team including representatives from Stantec Inc., Parsons Brinckerhoff, and Austin Civil Group of Grand Junction.

Through a series of maps, display boards, and a computer simulation of trucks moving along the four-lane route, the consulting team encouraged interested residents to provide input on access, safety, and other issues.
